Support for a Litter-Free N.C. with the Purchase of a Specialty Plate

Purchase a litter prevention special registration plate. Plates require a $20 annual fee in addition to the regular license payment.

The plate can be personalized but only has four spaces available due to the “do not litter” symbol taking up three spaces. A portion of the $20 from each plate sold will be allocated to the NC Department of Transportation for litter reduction efforts.

Visit your local license plate office to purchase a tag or visit the DOT site.
