The Weller Collection

Weller CYPB

Weller 12 Year Old
Weller Antique 107
Weller Special Reserve

Born in 1825, William Larue Weller was one of the early whiskey pioneers in Kentucky. Weller developed his original bourbon recipe with wheat, rather than rye in the mash bill. Wheat is a soft grain providing his bourbon with a mild, gentle and smooth taste.
He spent his lifetime educating consumers about the differences in his bourbon. William Larue Weller’s wheated bourbon became so popular, that Weller was forced to put a green thumbprint on barrels to ensure that customers were receiving the real deal.
Pappy Van Winkle eventually merged Weller’s namesake company with the A. Ph. Stitzel Distillery to form the Stitzel-Weller Distillery. The legacy of William Larue Weller continues to be honored today with award-winning wheated bourbons such as Weller 12 Year, Weller Special Reserve and Weller 107 Antique.

Old Fitzgerald BIB
10 Year

Each spring and fall, a new edition to the Old Fitzgerald Bottled-in-Bond series is released. Inspired by an original 1950's Old Fitzgerald diamond decanter, the packaging and series honor both the history of the Old Fitzgerald brand and the historic Bottled-in-Bond designation.

The Old Fitzgerald line is well-known for its distilling pedigree, as the brand was first registered in 1884 and was eventually sold to "Pappy" Van Winkle during Prohibition.

In 1999, Heaven Hill bought the brand and began distilling it at Bernheim Distillery in Louisville, KY. Today, in addition to our Old Fitzgerald Decanter Series, the legacy of Old Fitzgerald lives on in our other wheated Bourbons expressions: Larceny Small Batch and Larceny Barrel Proof.

Lady Bird
TEXAS HONEY-INFUSED COGNAC-FINISHED BOURBON | 114 PROOF
Like all of the Garrison Brothers bourbons, Lady Bird begins its life as our distinguished Small Batch Bourbon Whiskey. Master Distiller Donnis Todd selects barrels of this nectar that already display notes of honey, and delicately infuses them with Burleson's Texas Wildflower Honey for an additional 8-9 months. The liquid then ages in exquisite French Cognac XO casks for an additional 3 years, resulting in a harmonious blend of unparalleled flavor and elegance. This double-finished masterpiece reflects the perfect balance between sweet honey notes and the rich complexity of cognac.

Remus Bourbon is proud to announce an official partnership with the Babe Ruth Family that has culminated in the release of Remus Babe Ruth Reserve, a special collector’s bourbon inspired by perhaps the greatest icon of the Roaring 20s, the immortal Babe Ruth.

Aged for 6-7 years and 111 proof, Remus Babe Ruth Reserve leads off with brown sugar and fig on the nose. On the first sip, slight mint and brown sugar step up, followed by candied pecans, slight fennel and rye spice. The Remus Babe Ruth Reserve experience closes out with rye spice and cinnamon.

Jack Daniels 10yr old Batch #3

& 12yr old Batch #2

While batches within the Aged Series will have slight variations, the predominant notes of oak, butterscotch and tobacco can be found in each whiskey. Jack Daniel’s 12-Year-Old Batch 2 has predominant notes of pipe tobacco, oak, and butterscotch, while Jack Daniel’s 10-Year-Old Batch 3 is oak-forward with layers of fruit and cocoa.

Both expressions were charcoal mellowed and aged in new, toasted, and charred American white oak barrels first in the upper floors of our barrelhouse before being relocated to the lower ricks to extend the maturation process.

Both share the same grain bill as the classic Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey of 80% corn, 12% malted barley and 8% rye. Jack Daniel’s 12-Year-Old Tennessee Whiskey Batch 2 is offered at 107 proof (53.5% abv) and Jack Daniel’s 10-Year-Old Tennessee Whiskey Batch 3 at 97 proof (48.5% abv).

Taylor, Jr. Barrels are evaluated and selected to create a perfect blend of distinctive character that is like no other. Single Barrel
Colonel Edmund Haynes Taylor, Jr. is widely considered one of the founding fathers of the bourbon industry, fighting for the Bottled-in-Bond Act of 1897, nearly three decades after he purchased what is now called Buffalo Trace Distillery. During his time, Taylor implemented several innovative methods still used today, including climate controlled aging warehouses. Many of the barrels selected for the E.H. Taylor, Jr. Single Barrel are aged in Warehouse C, which was built by Taylor in 1881 and proven to be an excellent aging warehouse. Each barrel is hand-picked and Bottled in Bond at 100 proof to honor its namesake

Woodford Reserve 2023 Master’s Collection Sonoma Triple Finish

this 2023 release, Master Distiller Elizabeth McCall has drawn upon prior creative releases and continued product experimentation for inspiration. In 2014, the Master’s Collection released the first Pinot Noir finished Kentucky Bourbon in history, Sonoma-Cutrer Pinot Finish. This was followed in 2016 with the first-ever American Brandy Cask finished Bourbon. The Pinot Noir and brandy barrels used for these releases were obtained from famous Sonoma County wineries. These releases featured big, bold, red and dried fruit flavors along with dark chocolate and baking spice notes. At the same time, many wineries began to age their red wines in used Woodford Reserve barrels to create a new “Bourbon Barrel Aged” genre. These wines featured rich vanilla and caramel notes.

This inspired Elizabeth to experiment with various combinations of the three— including finishing Woodford Reserve in Sonoma County wine barrels that had originally been used to mature Woodford Reserve. The result, Sonoma Triple Finish, is a unique blend of Woodford Reserve Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey that has been finished in Sonoma County Pinot Noir, Brandy, and former Bourbon barrels used to age red wine.

Sonoma Triple Finish is a rich, fruity, vanilla and spice-forward expression of Woodford Reserve Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey.

Chateau Larose-trintaudon Haut-medoc 6-Liter Imperial

Varietals: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot
Origin: France, Bordeaux, Haut-Médoc
Vintage: 2019

This photo doesn't do the bottle justice as this is an Imperial, which is a 6-liter bottle. It is the ultimate bottle of wine for a dinner party, equal to eight (8) regular bottles of wine!

Beautiful dark ruby color with quite an intense bouquet bringing together aromas or red ripe berries as well as spicier vanilla notes. On the palate the wine is incredibly round with a dense tannic structure, yet not overly massive. Great freshness finished off by slight mineral undertones and a silky texture

Thank you to each of our Bourbon & Spirit Raffle Sponsors & Supporters!

Starting a fundraising bourbon raffle from scratch in the state of North Carolina isn't an easy task, especially when you know very little about bourbons, other than you like to drink them, not to mention knowing even less about North Carolina's liquor, lottery, and raffle laws!

I would like to thank Nigel Sullivan at the Greensboro ABC, along with Mike DeSilva and Brandon Green at the North Carolina ABC Commission for providing all of the right knowledge and access to the appropriate licenses to enable KNCB to facilitate this exciting weekend fundraiser legally. In addition, I would like to than Nigel again, along with Mike Yates at RNDC, and Eamonn O'Mahoney for sharing their knowledge and contacts in the industry to help facilitate KNCB's first annual Bourbon & Spirits fundraiser. And, of course, thank you to all of our sponsors who have donated their time, energy, resources, and wonderful spirits to the auction!
